What is tire shaving and how does it help my truck?▼
Tire shaving (depilado) trims the outer surface of a truck tire using a specialized lathe to make it geometrically round. Irregular wear or flat spots create high and low spots that cause vibration throughout the truck. Shaving removes those high spots so the tire rolls smoothly. This is different from regrooving — we do not cut new channels into the tread.
Can you fix a flat truck tire in Dallas?▼
Yes, for tread-area punctures 3/8" or smaller. Sidewall damage is not repairable and we'll advise replacement.
What causes truck tires to wear unevenly?▼
